Ingredients

15 minutes
4 servings
  • 1small bunch Spinach washed and chopped
  • 1/2 cupgolden American sweet corn boiled
  • 1 tablespoonCrushed Garlic
  • 1medium Onion chopped
  • 4 tablespoonsBesan/gram flour
  • 4Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 cupfinely chopped Fresh Methi leaves
  • 1/2 cupCarrot grated
  • 1 teaspoonchaat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoonGaram Masala
  • 1 tablespoonfresh mint leaves chopped
  • 1 pinchMeetha soda
  • 1/2 teaspoonginger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoonred chilli powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoonSalt or to taste
  • 1 cupOil – To deep fry

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Take onion, chillies, spinach and add salt, methi, garlic, chaat masala, garam masala, soda, besan, ginger paste and mint leaves in a mixing bowl and mix well.

    Meanwhile in a wok heat oil for deep frying.

  3. 3

    Now coarsely crush the boiled corn and mix well in the batter, to form a smooth batter slightly thicker than pakoda consistency.

  4. 4

    Make small balls of pakoda mixture and drop carefully one by one in hot oil 6-7 at a time.

  5. 5

    Deep fry on a medium heat until golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Delicious and crispy spinach corn Balls are ready to serve hot with green chutney or sauce or any dip.
