Paneer in white gravy (Shahi Paneer)

Ingredients

  1. 250 gmspaneer
  2. 2medium sized onions roughly chopped
  3. 1 inchcinnamon stick
  4. 1 tspjeera
  5. 3cloves
  6. 1black cardamom
  7. 3green cardamoms
  8. 1/4 cupcashew nuts
  9. 2green chillies chopped
  10. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  11. 1 tspcoriander powder
  12. 1/2 tspblack pepper powder
  13. 3 tbspcurd
  14. 3 tbspfresh cream
  15. 1 1/2 tspsalt or as per taste
  16. 4 tbspoil + 1 tbsp butter
  17. 1 tspkasoori meethi

Cooking Instructions

    Heat a kadhai add 2 tbsp oil add chopped onions saute for a few mins, add cinnamon, jeera, cloves, black cardamom, green cardamom saute for a few mins. Add cashew nuts.

    Add ginger-garlic paste & green chillies fry for a few seconds. Add 1/2 water and cook for 5 to 10 mins with lid covered

    Cool this mixture and blend it into a smooth paste. Keep aside

    In the same kadhai heat 2 tbsp + 1 tbsp butter add the masala paste fry for a few mins, add curds mix well fry for 5 mins then add coriander powder and black pepper powder fry for a few seconds.

    Then add fresh cream cook for a few mins. Add water as per consistency, salt. Boil it then add cubed paneer. I have fried the paneer and then added to the gravy. Add kasuri methi simmer for 10 mins. Serve with Paratha.
