I recreated it as our taste.
Sorghum popcorn ( Jowar Dhani as it called in Gujarati). Mostly it is available during Holi festival. You can make/pop it at home with shorgum/ whole Jowar like maize popcorn.

Ingredients

  1. For spicy sorghum popcorn:
  2. 1 bowlsorghum popcorn/ Jowar dhani
  3. 1 tspoil
  4. 1/4 tsptumeric powder
  5. 1 pinchasafoetida hing
  6. 1 tspred chilli powder
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. Other ingredients:
  9. 1 cuppuff rice/ mumura (optional)
  10. 1small boiled potato peel and chopped
  11. 1small onion finely chopped
  12. 1small tomato finely chopped
  13. 2fried or roasted rice khichiya papad
  14. Red khajur dates chutney as required
  15. Spicy green bhel chutney as required
  16. 2 tbsproasted peanuts
  17. 2-3 tbspbesan spicy sev
  18. Besan sev to garnish
  19. Chaat masala as per taste
  20. Finely chopped fresh coriander leaves to garnish

Cooking Instructions

    To make spicy sorghum popcorn. In kadhai add heat oil,add asafoetida, tumeric powder and salt. Add shorgum popcorn and red chilli powder. Mix well and saute on slow flame till crispy.

    In mixing bowl add spicy sorghum popcorn, puff rice, hand crushed rice papad,chopped potato,onion, tomato, spicy sev, peanuts, khajur chutney and spicy green chutney as per taste,chat masala. Mix well.

    Serve/ Relish Delicious Sorghum Popcorn Bhel garnish with besan sev, chopped coriander leaves immediately.
