In a small, deep bowl, mix the yeast with sugar and warm water for 5 minutes
- 2
In the kneader, put 1¼ cup of flour, a tablespoon of salt and stir the ingredients using the kneading arm for a few seconds
- 3
Add water and knead the mixture on the medium speed, then add the yeast mixture and the rest of the amount of flour and continue kneading at the medium speed
- 4
Add two tablespoons of butter, and continue kneading at a slightly higher speed for 5 minutes
- 5
On a dry surface sprayed with a little flour, knead the dough by hand several times, then form it in a smooth ball and leave in the fermentation bowl for 45 min until it doubles in size
- 6
After 45 min roll the dough into loaf and put it in a loaf pan glazed with butter, cover the pan and let the loaf for another 45 min until it doubles in size
- 7
Bake at 375° until golden for 55 min in the middle rack of the oven
- 8
After baking remove the loaf from pan to wire racks to cool.
- 9
When the loaf is completely cooled, you can cut it with a bread knife

Basic white bread for bread machine Basic white bread for bread machine
I am a failure sometimes at gadgets. I make this because it doesn’t fail on me (much). Makes a nice heavy bread and my kitchen smells great. The recipe that came with the manual was a culinary nightmare with the top never cooking right. This recipe I found on line is so much better. Make it at night. Then in the morning the bread is still warm... Katatonickat -
Buttermilk White Bread Buttermilk White Bread
My husband is bread lover. And in this situation of self quarantine #stayhome because of the Covid-19 spreading everywhere, we won’t take a chance to go to grocery or bakery just to get the bread. So this is my 1st time of making bread ever. At first I feel nervous because I am going to use buttermilk powder instead of buttermilk. Long short story before the city’s lockdown we couldn’t find any buttermilk or milk at the store. Luckily we got dry cultured buttermilk powder. We just grabbed and brought it home. At that moment we just think “we rather have it and not need it than need it but don’t have it”. So now I have to think how to use it and to not waste it. And here’s I present my homemade buttermilk bread from my kitchen using cultured buttermilk powder. Nia Hiura -

This is another version of my Hot Roll recipe. This time I used whole wheat flour, because I need all the fiber I can get and I like the nutty flavor. I also love oatmeal so I added that too. Nice nibbling bread. SherryRandall: The Leftover Chronicles -
Monkey Bread Monkey Bread
#breads Monkey bread is also called as Puzzle bread, Hungarian coffee bread, bubble bread and/or pull-a-part bread. Monkey Bread is one of the most popular "American" breakfast dishes. Despite the name, this bread has no connection with the primates. It is believed that the name "monkey bread" attributes to the fact that the bread being a pull-a-part finger food, the enjoyer would pick apart the bread as a monkey would. Monkey bread is a sweet, sticky, gooey, soft, pinch -me bread made from little balls of dough rolled in cinnamon sugar and baked together in a bundt pan.In this recipe, I filled each of the dough balls with chocolate spread to give it an extra chocolatey twist. Nana's Old-fashioned White Bread Nana's Old-fashioned White Bread
When treated gently this bread is light and airy, but always packed full of flavor. Even if you get a "reject loaf" (aka one that falls while baking) it is still delicious.I don't use shortening in any of my own recipes, but if my Nana used shortening in hers I do not deviate for flavor authenticity and nostalgia purposes. I do use a "modernized method" to make mine because having carpal tunnel makes it difficult and painful to stir and work with thick doughs like this. StephieCanCook -
Homemade White Bread Rolls Homemade White Bread Rolls
Since bread starters needs to be used up within 1 - 2 weeks, I thought it best to make bread directly from liquid yeast, which lasts for a while.Unlike dry yeast, the time needed for rising varies greatly depending on the strength of the starter.I recommend yogurt or strawberry yeast, which are both strong. This is my second crack at making a yeast risen bread and I'm super pleased with how it turned out. The whole kitchen smelled like basil while it was baking and this is a perfect accompaniment to fresh tomatoes and mozzarella or toasted with a touch of olive oil. TheSouthernBelle
