Ingredients

  1. Halfa cup of oil or as required
  2. 3medium onions finely sliced
  3. 2 canschick peas
  4. Optional sliced green chillies or to your taste
  5. Handfulchopped coriander
  6. 1 teaspoonTurmeric/Haldi powder
  7. 1 teaspoonCoriander/Dhaniya powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoonCumin/Jeera powder
  9. 1/2 teaspoonoptional Chilli powder or to your taste
  10. 3/4 teaspoonsalt or to your taste

Cooking Instructions

    On a medium flame heat oil in a pan. Add the onions, salt, optional green chillies & stir. Sauté the onions on a low to medium flame until they completely soften & the colour is of a light golden brown.

    Add 1 teaspoon of Turmeric/Haldi powder, stir for ½ minute. Add ½ teaspoon of Cumin/Jeera powder, ½ teaspoon of optional chilli powder, 1 teaspoon of Coriander/Dhaniya powder. Stir in the contents & cook for 5 minutes stirring to ensure that it doesn't burn or stick to the pan.

    Add the chickpeas and stir in. On a low to medium flame leave to cook for another 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Add the chopped coriander, stir and take off heat.
