Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a bowl add the semolina
- 2
Add the yeast and give it a stir.
- 3
Add the warm water and mix well.
- 4
Cover and let it rise. It takes about 7-10mins to double in size as long as the yeast is active.
- 5
Stir well to combine. Place your non-stick Masa pan and grease with some vegetable oil.
- 6
Allow to get hot then scoop some of the batter and pour in each hole(halfway).
- 7
Let it cook on medium heat and then flip the other side to cook, too.
- 8
You will know that it's done when you feel the masa is no longer heavy (when you lift with a spoon).
- 9
Once it has doubled in size add all the remaining ingredients I've listed.
- 10
For this recipe I didn't use any soup because of the amount of sugar I added. If you're eating it with soup you can add about 2_3 tablespoon of sugar.
