Ingredients

  1. 3 cupsself-raising flour
  2. 1/4 cupsugar
  3. 1/4 cupbutter
  4. 1egg
  5. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  6. 1 teaspoonvanilla essence
  7. 1 packetyeast = 7g
  8. 1/2 cupwarm milk
  9. 2tablespon warm water

Cooking Instructions

    First step, in a bowl Add butter 🧈,sugar and vanilla essence and mix the 3ingredients very well.

    Then add 1egg, salt,yeast and milk and mix well.

    Lastly add 3cups of self-raising or bread flour and 2tablespon of warm water and mix everything and well and nice until the dough becomes soft.

    Take the kneading bowl,grease some oil,add the dough and let it rest for 15-20minutes.

    After 15minutes of rest divide the dough into 2, take one dough at time,sprinkle a bit of flour and roll out the dough into a medium size circle,using a cutter shape the donuts as you desire.

    Cover the donut and place in a warm place to double size for 45-60 minutes.

    Lastly deep-fry them on a medium heat until golden-brown colour on both sides, then remove them from the heat. Immediately coat the donuts with normal white sugar before the donuts cool down or else the sugar will not stick well on the donuts.

    Serve with a cup of milk 🥛 or tea ☕️ and enjoy xx😋👌.

Hi Rukia. If I don't have self-raising flour, how many grams or tsp of baking powder do I add to the usual home baking flour?
