Easy Chocolate Truffles in the Microwave

I was wondering what to make with leftover heavy cream. I'd never tried chocolate truffles, so I wanted to see if there was a hassle-free method of just using the microwave.
Heating times will differ on your microwave, so check on the chocolate while you work. Recipe by Hokkori-no

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Using a knife or your hands, chop the chocolate into 5 mm pieces. Slice the butter into 5 mm pieces. Place both in a heatproof bowl.
- 2
Microwave at 600 W for 1.5 minutes to melt. Use a whisk to mix well.
- 3
In another heatproof container, pour in the heavy cream, and microwave at 600 W for 30 seconds.
- 4
Add the cream from Step 3 to the bowl from Step 2, and combine well with a whisk.
- 5
Pour the mixture from Step 4 into chocolate molds using a spoon. Rap the tray on a flat surface several times to pop air bubbles.
- 6
Place Step 5 in the refrigerator and chill for about 3 hours to set. (If it isn't hardening, chill in the freezer).
- 7
Once your truffles have hardened, remove from the mold. Sprinkle with cocoa powder with a tea strainer.
- 8
If you use silicone molds, the chocolates will be easier to remove if you push them up from the bottom.
- 9
When storing the chocolates at home, keep them in a sealed container in the fridge.

I've been making these truffles ever since I was single and gave them a go with store-bought chocolate bars this time. Since these truffles aren't too sweet, my family really loves them.I used 2 bars of dark chocolate from Lawson for this recipe which weighed 75 g each.If you are using milk chocolate instead, please reduce the amount of cream to 75 ml.You don't have to add any mizuame if you don't have any.If you want to make more authentic truffles, give them a light coating of chocolate and freeze them before applying a thick layer of coating at the end. Easy Chocolate Truffles for Valentine's Day Easy Chocolate Truffles for Valentine's Day
I have been making these truffles for a while now.-This is a simplified recipe to coat cocoa powder directly onto the truffles, but you can actually create a layer of chocolate by thinly coating the truffles with melted chocolate before coating with the cocoa powder.-Coat the truffles again to make it more authentic.Step 1: Plastic wrap may be used as a substitute of the parchment paper.Step 1: You can also use bitter chocolate. Reduce the amount of heavy cream when using milk chocolate. Please adjust the amount of brandy to your taste.-Don't worry about adding mizuame if not available.-Makes about 10 truffles with 3 bars of chocolate. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221 cookpad.japan -

Earlier today, I was craving for some chocolate truffles. 🤔So I thought to myself, “why go all the way to a chocolate store to buy some when you can make some!” 🤷🏻♀️😅😂Here are a few pieces of my first-hand experience of making my very own #homemade #chocolate #truffles before they vanished. 🍫🤎Surprisingly #chewy and #yummy 😍😍😍Will definitely make some variations of these babies - probably with nuts, coconut bits, and assortments. 🧆🍫🧉🥜📝FUN FACT: It is said that the chocolate truffle was made by accident!Back in the 1920s, French culinary giant August Escoffier’s stagiaire attempted to make pastry cream when he accidentally poured hot cream into a bowl of chocolate chunks instead of the bowl of sugared egg he initially was aiming for.So as the chocolate cream mixture hardened, he found he could work the chocolate paste by hand to form into balls. After rolling the balls onto cocoa powder, he was amazed by the resemblance they had to the luxurious truffles from the French Périgord region and the Piedmont of Italy; its name was derived from the edible fungus such as black truffles.🤎🤎🤎#chocolatetruffles #nomnom #delicious #masarap #lami #namit #querico #sabroso #delicioso #lækker #utsökt #delicieux #טָעִים #chocolateballs #cravingsatisfied #lizziefied #happytuesday #dessert LizzieVO -

Since giving chocolates to friends for Valentine's Day has become a thing, I've found myself having to make more and more. It takes so long to chop it all up and then wash the chopping board.I decided to try and find a solution for that.-Don't let the heavy cream boil. If you have a microwave where you can set the temperature, then by all means use that as well.-The chocolate is likely to start melting from the warmth of your hands so try making them with chilled hands if you can stand the cold.-You can use whipped cream instead of heavy cream if you wish. I've made various types of chocolate for Valentines day over the years, but this simple chocolate truffle was the most well-received so this has become the standard for our house over the past few years.A bento lunch box with a depth of 2 to 3 cm is best. Since fresh cream keeps it from getting too hard, I like putting it in the freezer. You can also store it in the freezer in zipper bags.
