I'm a sucker for a good chocolate brownie/cake. I found this chocolate mug cake recipe and it is a true gem. It’s almost like cheating… you get a decadent ooey-gooey treat exploding with chocolatey goodness in less than a minute!

Ingredients

  1. 2 tbspbutter
  2. 2 tbspwater
  3. 1/4 tspvanilla
  4. 1 pinchsalt
  5. 1/4 cupwhite sugar
  6. 1/4 cupflour
  7. 2 tbspcocoa powder
  8. 1/4 cupchocolate chips (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Melt the butter in a coffee mug.

  2. 2

    Add water, vanilla and salt and stir until smooth.

  3. 3

    Add sugar, cocoa powder and flour and stir until all the lumps are out. Add your choice of chocolate chips if you want.

    Cook in the microwave for 30-40 seconds. If you want less "lava" and more cake you can cook it for 10 seconds more. You may have to adjust the cooking time since all microwaves cook at different speeds.
