Ingredients

  1. 250 gflour
  2. 200 mlmilk
  3. 1egg
  4. 100 gsugar
  5. 2lemons large size..zested
  6. 1 1/2 teaspoonbaking powder
  7. Cooking oil to fry
  8. Butter / blue band 2 large spoons

Cooking Instructions

    Mix flour dry ingredients together ie. Flour baking powder and give it a good mix

    Warm the milk
    In a different bowl prepare the wet ingredient
    Ie. milk
    Butter
    Sugar lemon zest
    Egg
    Mix it well too

    Mix the wet and the dry ingredients and the wet ingredients well to form a well made dough
    It should be soft if not you can add milk to make the dough soft

    Cover it with a kitchen towel for about 20 minutes

    In a frying pan add cooking oil
    Put it on medium heat

  6. 6

    Knead your dough to make circles of your dough then cut the mandazi's into your desired shapes

  7. 7

    Fry them on medium heat to achieve a golden brown color.
