A friend of mine gave me this recipe and I just tweaked it and add some other ingredients to make it a soup

Rince off the rice cakes and add to a large skillet. Add the rest of ingredients except cheese. Bring everything to a boil. Once boiling turn heat down and let everything simmer, stirring occasionally, til Tteok-Bokki is tender bout 7-8 minutes.

Stir in shredded cheese. Let cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and serve immediately and enjoy. I love to top this with extra cheese and usually chopped green onions 😋.
