Ingredients

  1. 1/2 litremilk
  2. 3 tbsp condensed milk
  3. 2 tbspdesi ghee
  4. 1/2 cupvermicelli
  5. 2 tbspsugar
  6. 1/2 tspcardamom powder
  7. For garnish:
  8. as requiredDried rose petals
  9. as requiredChopped pistachios
  10. As neededChopped almonds
  11. As required Chopped cashews

Cooking Instructions

    Combine milk and condensed milk in a pan and cook on low flame for 10 mins, till it starts to thicken a little.

    While the milk cooks, take a pan and roast chopped cashews and almonds.

    Roast the nuts till brown. Then remove on a kitchen towel to get rid of excess ghee.

    Put vermicelli in the pan in which the nuts were roasted.

    Roast the vermicelli till golden brown.

    Put sugar in the pan. Note: Since condensed milk has been added in the milk, the quantity of sugar is less. If you are not using condensed milk, then increase the quantity of sugar and cook the milk for 20 mins.

    Add thickened milk to the vermicelli and sugar mix and let it cook on low flame for 7-8 mins, till the the vermicelli cooks.

    Put cardamom powder and mix.

    Sheer khurma is ready. Garnish with roasted nuts, chopped pistachios, dried rose petals and serve.
