Daal chawal

Daal Chawal’ may be a common dish but it is also the most frequently cooked dish in Pakistani homes. And why it shouldn’t be? Daal served with a hot tarka of sliced garlic cloves, cumin, and curry leaves, makes the simple lentils irresistible.
Alternatively, daal chawal, served with a mixed salad tossed up with a lemon and achaar, just reminds you how tasty the combination is. If you are one of those who don’t know where to find daal chawal except home then this list is just for you.

Raw Mango Rice Raw Mango Rice
Have you ever tried Mango rice?? If not, then give your boring rice a makeover with this lovely recipe. I was scrolling through YouTube and there I came across this lovely recipe which includes unripe mangoes (kacha aam) to give a healthy twist to our regular rice. We, here in the North, do not relish rice this way, so it was pretty new flavour for my family. The raw mango gives tangy taste to the rice whereas assorted dals and peanuts give it a crunch, a tantalizing aroma and interesting mouth feel. You can savour it with side dishes like ginger chutney or curd. But I devoured this as it is, enjoying every bite and feeling every single flavour. Yummmm!#khana Vertika Tyagi -
Müceddere Turkish Fried Rice Müceddere Turkish Fried Rice
A dish to satisfy my husband's hunger, reminding him of home-cooked meals. Just freshly made, it has a sweet taste from the onions and a creamy texture from the lentils. It's one of our favorite easy-to-eat dishes, especially when topped with chili sauce.Note 1: Ingredients can be found at supermarkets, though they might be a bit pricey as they are imported. I brought them from Turkey, including the olive oil. My husband's grandmother grows a lot of olives, so we have fresh olive oil, which is of course different in quality from what's available in the market.2: This dish traditionally uses only olive oil, but since I didn't have enough, I used butter as well. A lot of oil is needed because the rice is dry, and we want it to be fluffy so it doesn't clump together when reheated.3: We don't have a non-stick pot at home, but if you do, use it to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom. If not, just stir frequently to reach the bottom of the pot. Cooking with Deniz🏖️🌊Translated from Cookpad Thailand -
Jeera Rice Jeera Rice
#reststyleJeeraa Rice is a very simple rice preparation using the aromat basmati rice variety. Jeera i.e. cumin seeds are used to temper the basmati rice, which impart a unique and delicious flavour to it.Basmati rice has been used since long in the traditional cooking of biryanis and pulaos due to it’s long grain, and aromat flavour which goes very well with any spices and gravies too. Basically, Jeera Rice tastes great with daals and Punjabi gravies and hence it is found in the menus of almost all restaurants! Pooja M. Pandit -
Paneer Steak With Burnt Garlic Herbed Rice Paneer Steak With Burnt Garlic Herbed Rice
#reststylePaneer Steak With Burnt Garlic Herbed Rice is basically a restaurant style dish. Nowadays, we can see a new revolution in the menus of many new age restaurants. Quite a lot of new dishes can be seen on their menus. One such dish is steak, then be it chicken or cottage cheese. Either grilled veggies are served by the side or at times even some buttered herbed rice is served alongside! The dish I have presented here is on the same lines, where I have added a delicious sauce made with roasted red bell peppers and cashewnuts. The sauce is extremely flavourful and ups the taste level of the entire dish!I have added here as much veggies as I can, as it increases the health quotient of the dish! And the main thing over here is that, these dishes are sold at such high prices in restaurants, but preparing this dish at home has costed me almost less than half the cost I would be paying for four! All this inspite of the cost of these ingredients being on the higher side! So go ahead and surely give this dish a try at least once, and I assure you that you won’t be dissapointed!A small tip, the marinade prepared here is so delicious in itself, that it can be used to make grill sandwiches and can be used with fish or chicken too to make non vegetarian steaks! The Definitive Kinpira Stir-fry Rice Burger! The Definitive Kinpira Stir-fry Rice Burger!
I wanted to make a "Kinpira rice burger" that could be eaten with one hand for my hubby, so I tried it out.The filling has beef in it so you can leave out the bacon, but the rice burger they serve at Mos Burger (a Japanese fast-food chain) has bacon in it and we like that, so I copied it.Press the rice patties as firmly as you can, and make sure the edges aren't too thin! If you press the patties down in the frying pan, they'll be nicely formed.Moisten the spatula frequently to make sure the rice doesn't stick to it. For 2 burgers. Recipe by Madam pira cookpad.japan -

Beans on rice Beans on rice
Like many people, I have a weak spot for good fried chicken. And from among the major outlets, my favourite is Popeye's. Honestly, though, it's not their delicious chicken alone that puts them over the top; it's their red beans and rice. Something about that little side dish of smushed beans and savoury sauce soaking into fluffy rice just speaks to me. So I decided to make my own. I didn't try to make an exact copy, and mine's also a little less watery than theirs (my only nitpick). But I think it came out just as delicious and comforting at the end. Robert Gonzal -
