The major ingredient used over is from my parents garden, the jackfruit, coconut and banana leaves. This is one of traditional recipes from Kerala that is not commonly made nowadays due to fast life and no time. I love to keep up my tradition so whenever I am in my parents house I do make it a point to maximum use all vegetables and fruits from our garden. Inish Issac -

Palappam recipe | Appam recipe without yeast | Kerala Appam recipe Palappam recipe | Appam recipe without yeast | Kerala Appam recipe
Palappam is an extended version of plain appam or vella appam recipe to which grated coconut is added while grounding. later the fermented batter is poured to bowl shaped pan to yield a bowl shaped pancake’s.i would like to share few tips and recommendations to be considered while preparing kerala palappam recipe. firstly, i have used idli rice in this recipe for better fermentation and result. you can use normal day to day rice like sona masuri but i heavily recommend to use idli rice for better result. secondly, as mentioned previously fermentation is key process. but if you are living in a cold region, you can place the batter in preheated oven to hasten the fermentation process. lastly, you can store the fermented batter in refrigerator for about 2-3 days and scoop out only required amount of batter to prepare spongy appam recipe. This was my first attempt to make rice pancake or appam or hopper. It is made from rice flour, fresh coconut milk and yeast. In this recipe I use small moulds to cook them instead of a non-stick appam pan.I lightly beat four eggs and used a spoon to scoop in the egg. Wiwik Sunariyah -
Pulled Pork Veg with Banana Peels 🍌 Pulled Pork Veg with Banana Peels 🍌
Culinary preparations using banana peels are common in Southeast Asian, Venezuelan, and Indian cuisines. The pulled pork recipe made with banana peels that I present to you was created by a Canadian vegan blogger, Melissa Copeland, and went viral in the UK in 2019. In 2020, Nadiya Hussein, winner of the British talent show "The Great British Bake Off," revealed that she used banana peels in making burgers to reduce food waste. This is my version; I had two large, ripe banana peels left over and wanted to prepare this 'unusual' recipe. The only recommendation is to use organic bananas!!! Mini Kabocha Squash Stuffed with Pear and Goat Cheese Mini Kabocha Squash Stuffed with Pear and Goat Cheese
I thought up a recipe using kabocha squash that was simple and cute. I also have a ton of gluten-free recipes on my blog, so if you want, please check it out: www.innerharmonynutrition.jp (in Japanese).Use a European pear if possible. If you want to make it sweeter, you can adjust the sweetness by adding beet sugar or coconut sugar, or other sweet ingredients to the pear. If you can't get a mini kabocha squash, you can use a small sized regular kabocha squash. Recipe by Maxerbear cookpad.japan -

Meatless Meatballs made from Banana Peels 🍌 Meatless Meatballs made from Banana Peels 🍌
There’s a growing trend of vegans cooking banana peels as a meat substitute. I was quite skeptical at first, but @phie999, a friend of mine in Indonesia, cooked banana peel meatballs recently, and she said the result was surprisingly delicious 🤯 I could not resist the desire to give it a try myself, and decided to create my own banana peel meatball recipe. Both the texture and taste were just spot on!Banana peels are packed with nutrients, notably high amounts of vitamin B6 and B12, as well as magnesium and potassium.#CookEveryPart Junko
