Ingredients

12 servings
  1. 3 cupsself-rising flour
  2. 1& 1/4 cup white sugar
  3. 1 tspcinnamon powder
  4. 3medium apples, peeled and diced
  5. 1 Tbsplemon juice
  6. 3large eggs, beaten
  7. 1 cupmelted butter or cooking oil
  8. 1 cupmilk

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 180C. Line or grease a 9 inch round baking pan

  2. 2

    Mix diced apples and lemon juice and set aside

  3. 3

    Whisk flour, sugar and cinnamon. Dig a well and pour the eggs and butter. Mix in while slowly adding the milk

  4. 4

    Fold in the apples and spoon mixture into the lined pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until skewer comes out with a few crumbs

  5. 5

    Cool cake on a rack. I thoroughly enjoy mine warm, sprinkled with icing sugar and cinnamon or just simply served with yoghurt
