Scallops Rice Bowl with Garlic Butter & Soy Sauce

I have cooked Scallops in different flavours, but my absolute favourite flavour for sure is ‘Garlic Butter and Soy Sauce’. This simple combination does a magic, and it is also very versatile. You can add extra ingredients to it, for example, you may wish to add Chilli.

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 100 gScallops *pat dried with paper towel if wet
  2. 10 gButter
  3. 1 cloveGarlic
  4. 2-3Bok Choy Leaves *cut into thin strips
  5. *Note: You can use other Green Leafy Vegetable such as Spinach
  6. 1Serving warm Cooked Rice
  7. 1/2 sheetToasted Nori *torn into small pieces
  8. 1/2Spring Onion *finely chopped
  9. Toasted Sesame Seeds
  10. Sauce
  11. 1/2 tablespoonMirin
  12. 1/2 tablespoonSoy Sauce

Cooking Instructions

    Melt Butter in a frying pan over medium low heat, add Garlic and cook until aromatic and slightly browned.

    Add Scallops and cook until both sides are lightly browned. Make a room in the frying pan, add Green Vegetable, and cook until softened. Add Mirin & Soy Sauce, and mix to combine.

    Half fill a bowl with warm Cooked Rice, scatter Toasted Nori pieces, cover with Scallops and Vegetable with the sauce. Sprinkle with Spring Onion and Toasted Sesame Seeds, and enjoy.
