Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cuprice for 2 persons (sona masori rice)
  2. 2carrot (cut into small sizes)
  3. 1small potato (cut into small cubes)
  4. 1/2 cupcauliflower florets (soak in lukewarm water for 2 minutes)
  5. Handfulgreen peas
  6. 1onion (chopped)
  7. 1 tspginger, garlic and green chilli paste
  8. 1 tspgaram masala
  9. 1 tsphaldi powder
  10. 1/2 tspblack pepper powder
  11. 1 tsproasted cumin powder
  12. as required Few pudina leaves (chopped)
  13. as required Few coriander leaves (chopped)
  14. For tadka
  15. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  16. 2cloves
  17. 2green cardamom (crushed)
  18. 1bay leaf
  19. 1black cardamom (crushed)
  20. to tasteSalt
  21. 2 tbspoil for frying

Cooking Instructions

    Heat oil or ghee in a cooker. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves, green Elaichi, black Elaichi saute it for few minutes then add chopped onion fry till it is slight brown in colour. First wash the vegetables. Peel it and cut in to cubes or slices. Add all the vegetables cook for 3 minutes till the moisture evaporates. Then add all the dry masalas. Mix..........well

    Add the rice mix...properly with all the spices. Fry for 2 minutes. Then add water as needed.

    Add salt and the sugar (optional). Close the lid and wait for 3 whistles. Once it is done. Cool it and open the lid. Mix it properly and the pulao is ready to serve..........

    Transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with mint leaves and coriander leaves.........Ready to serve with raita......................
