Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupBasmati Rice (long grained rice)/ or any rice if you want
  2. 1medium Onion, finely chopped
  3. 1medium potato chopped
  4. 1/2 cupcorn fresh or frozen
  5. 1small Tomato, finely chopped
  6. 1/4 cupGreen Peas (mutter), fresh or frozen
  7. 3 tablespoonsfinely chopped French Beans
  8. 1/4 cupfinely chopped Carrot
  9. 2small piece of Bay Leaf
  10. 1-inch Cinnamon
  11. 2Cloves
  12. 1/2 tea spooncumin
  13. 1/2 tea spooncumin
  14. 1/4 tea spoonrai (mustard seeds)
  15. 1/4 teaspoonGaram Masala Powder
  16. 1/8 teaspoonTurmeric Powder
  17. 1/2 teaspoonRed Chilli Powder
  18. 2 tablespoonsfinely chopped Coriander Leaves
  19. 3green chilies chopped
  20. 1 teaspoonGhee
  21. 1 cupWater
  22. to tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    Wash rice and soak it in water for 15-20 minutes. Drain and keep aside until needed.

    Heat ghee in pressure cooker on low flame. Add bay leaf, cinnamon, clove, cumin green chilies and sauté for 30 seconds. Add potato onion and sauté until it turns light brown or for approx. 2 minutes.

    Add chopped tomato, green peas, french beans,corn and carrot. Stir-fry them for approx 3 minutes.

    Add garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.then add soaked drained rice mix well
    add 1 cup water and mix well.

    Close the lid and cook over medium flame for 2 whistles. When 1st whistle is completed, reduce the flame to low and cook until another whistle. Turn off flame. Cool it than,Open the lid carefully and Transfer it to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.and salads
