Chinese style crab meat omelette on rice “Tenshinhan”, cooking for 1 person - 天津飯 Chinese style crab meat omelette on rice “Tenshinhan”, cooking for 1 person - 天津飯
“Tenshinhan” is recognized as Chinese dish in Japan, but it was actually born in Japan, which I didn’t know until just now😂It’s easy but fulfilling and looks good too. As I know that my mother, who is a housewife, often cooks this for lunch when she is alone at home(I know this because she sent me URLs of Cookpad Japan’s “Tenshinhan” recipes or her cooksnaps few times before).Today, as I had to take a dinner by myself, I remembered this dish and tried cooking it. I combined 2 recipes from Cookpad Japan and here I would like to save my version. Kanaaneko -
“Soto Ayam” which reminds me of childhood days in Jakarta🇮🇩 “Soto Ayam” which reminds me of childhood days in Jakarta🇮🇩
I used to live in Jakarta, Indonesia during my childhood. When I visited my Indonesian friend’s house, her mother cooked us a very delicious and comforting Soto Ayam. Since then, Soto Ayam has been my most favorite Indonesian dish.Back in Japan, unfortunately, there are not many places where they serve Soto Ayam. Therefore, I need to cook at home. This recipe is mainly based on what I found from Cookpad Japan. The recipe writer is Japanese, but it tastes really authentic and reminds me of my childhood days💕Original recipe that I referred to:https://cookpad.wasmer.app/recipe/6129753?view=classic#share_url Kanaaneko -
Chicken and Century Egg Porridge Chicken and Century Egg Porridge
My comfort food is porridge. When I’m sick or missing home, or just on a chilly morning mood, porridge is my go-to meal. The porridge that I am used to is not the popular bubur McD, but the traditional old school hawker rice porridge with century egg. Some stalls will cook them in a claypot over a charcoal stove which makes the nostalgic frangrance.Century egg has its fan base. It’s either you love it or hate it😂. I am quite a lover. Ruth -
Cashew Chicken Cashew Chicken
The Cashew Chicken is a saucy and tender stir-fried chicken dish with cashew nuts drizzled in garlic sauce. Typically served with rice, this delicious dish is notorious in Thailand, and now you too can make it at home! It has a nice blend of textures, easy to prepare, and rich in protein. Be sure to use a high-quality seasoning like Rasa Sifu™ All in One Seasoning; it makes a significant difference in the taste. The brown rice used in this dish is a rich source of dietary fibre, which provides a good energy source. The high protein content of this dish gives your muscles the amino acids necessary to repair and rebuild, ready for the next round of cardio, weights or both! Ajinomoto Recipes -

Japanese soft and juicy teriyaki chicken 🇯🇵 Japanese soft and juicy teriyaki chicken 🇯🇵
To make the chicken soft and juicy, I’m adding some sugar when seasoning the chicken. Because sugar works as a natural tenderizer! I learned this tip from Cookpad Japan author.😊This recipe is quick and easy. Basically, fry chicken and add teriyaki sauce in the last step! It’s my family’s favorite and hope you and your family will enjoy too! Looking forward to your cooksnaps ❤️❤️#cppassport Kanaaneko -
Korean yangnyeom chicken made with homemade sauce - 양념치킨🇰🇷 Korean yangnyeom chicken made with homemade sauce - 양념치킨🇰🇷
Korean yangnyom chicken is one of the most popular foods which we've seen in lots of Korean dramas. When I went to Seoul last time, I found chicken shops everywhere. There are about 36,000 fried chicken restaurants in South Korea(data as of 2016). This is more than the number of McDonald's stores worldwide!!😱💦According to my husband, who is from Korea, yangnyeom chicken is usually not a home-cooked food and people mostly buy or order from outside. However, in overseas, we cannot always find Korean chicken shops. Also, I believe that the homemade one can be a bit more healthier than the one from outside. Therefore, I searched for over 10 recipes from several sources both in Korean and Japanese and made my own original sauce🙌 My husband loved it so it must be close to the authentic one!In Korea, pickled radishes always come together with yangnyeom chicken. I have uploaded the recipe too, so please cook together!!❤️ Kanaaneko -
Agedashi Tofu - 揚げ出し豆腐 Agedashi Tofu - 揚げ出し豆腐
I remembered the delicious Agedashi Tofu which I had in a Japanese restaurant the other day, so I decided to try making it at home.2 Tips to make it successful:- Removing the excess water from the tofu helps to keep it in shape and also prevents oil splattering.- When frying the tofu, only touch it when turning it over. If you move it too much, the tofu will fall apart. Kanaaneko -
Hainan chicken rice cooked in Staub pot 🐓 "So shiok!" 😋🇸🇬 Hainan chicken rice cooked in Staub pot 🐓 "So shiok!" 😋🇸🇬
Having lived in Singapore for around 10 years, Hainan chicken rice is one of my most favorite dishes of all! ❤️I’m always missing the taste in local hawker center, especially Tian Tian in Maxwell food court. My recipe is still very far from that authentic professional level, but I’m confident that this is delicious enough to enjoy at home😁 And it’s so easy too!(You don’t need to prepare a whole chicken or boil it for few hours)Instead of using a Staub pot, you can use a rice cooker to cook chicken and rice too!As for the sauce, please try dark soy sauce if you can buy it as it usually comes together with chicken rice in Singapore. Since it’s not widely available in Japan, this time I made an original sauce(which is also tasty though!).😉*Shiok means delicious in Singlish. Kanaaneko -
Lamb Stew Lamb Stew
My husband has always been a red meat lover, so I search different recipes that can fulfill his cravings for red meat. This dish was similar to one that my husband and I had when he brought me to a simple cafeteria in Iceland, insisted that I will love their delicious lamb soup, and true enough it was comforting and yummy. So I decided to learn and cook it for him since he like it so much. Michelle Kwan -
Spicy Tomato Chicken Spicy Tomato Chicken
Spicy Tomato Chicken is a super-simple, easy and healthy chicken recipe! Malaysians love it as “Ayam Masak Merah” which translates to “chicken in red sauce”. We know mother makes it best but have a go at preparing this dish! The delicious dish will immerse your tastebuds in a tangy and savoury flavour. Just add in a mixture of spices and fresh ingredients such as tomato puree and chilli paste. Tender chicken breasts are cooked in a garlic tomato sauce, blended to a creamy paste. It’s a perfect post-workout meal as it contains a high protein content and is low in calories. Ajinomoto Recipes
