Ingredients

  1. For Kofta
  2. 500 gminced chicken
  3. 1 tbspginger-garlic paste
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1/2 tspred chilly powder
  6. 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  7. For Gravy
  8. 2medium onions chopped
  9. 1bay leaf
  10. 1cinnamon stick
  11. 1 tbspginger-garlic paste
  12. 3tomatoes, chopped
  13. 2 tspcoriander powder
  14. 2 tspred chilly powder
  15. 1/2 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
  16. Salt to taste

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and clean minced chicken. And then grind the chicken in mixie for a few minutes and keep aside.

    In a large mixing bowl add chicken, ginger-garlic paste, salt, red chilly powder, and coriander powder and mix all the ingredients.

    Grease thali with oil and make small Koftas and place them on the plate.

    Add water to a heavy vessel and place stand on that place kofta's plate. Cover and steam koftas for 10 minutes.

    To make the koftas crispy deep fry them till it's golden brown and crispy from both sides. Chicken koftas are ready. Keep them aside.

    Gravy preparation: In a cooker add oil, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, onion, tomatoes and pressure cook for 2-3 whistles.

    Once the pressure is released open the cooker and with a grinder grind the mix to make a smooth gravy.

    Add the spices to the gravy salt, coriander powder, red chilly powder, and turmeric powder. Cook the masala on a medium flame for 10 minutes.

    Now add the Kostas and mix it with gravy. Roast the Kostas for another 10minutes by adding little water in intervals. Keep stirring the gravy occasionally.

    Add water as required for gravy and bring it to a final boil. Switch off the flame chicken kofta curry is ready.

    Serve hot and garnish with coriander leaves with roti and salad.
