This is a simple and tasty raita(side dish) made with yoghurt and beetroot. It can be served with Paratha or any type of spicy rice.

Ingredients

  1. 1Beetroot
  2. 1 cupcurd(yoghurt)
  3. As Per TasteSalt
  4. 1 tspsugar
  5. For tempering-
  6. As RequiredOil
  7. 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  8. 1/2 tspcumin
  9. 2green chillies
  10. 7-8curry leaves
  11. 1/4 cupchopped coriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and peel and grate beetroot.

    Add curd, salt and sugar.

  3. 3

    Now make tempering.

  4. 4

    For this heat oil in a pan.

  5. 5

    Add mustard seeds and cumin.

  6. 6

    Once it crackled.

  7. 7

    Add curry leaves and green chillies.

  8. 8

    Saute for 1 min.

  9. 9

    Pour this tempering on curd and beetroot mixture

  10. 10

    Combine all well.

  11. 11

    Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves.

  12. 12

    Beetroot Raita is ready to serve.
