Ingredients

  1. 200 gmsCarrots
  2. 1 cupFresh Peas
  3. 2 tbspCooking Oil
  4. 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  5. 1/8 tspAsafoetida
  6. 1Onion
  7. 1 pieceGinger
  8. 1Tomato
  9. 2Green chilli
  10. 2 tbspChopped coriander leaves
  11. As Per TasteSalt
  12. 1 /2 tspRed chilli powder
  13. 1 /4 tspTurmeric powder
  14. 1 /4 tspCoriander Seeds powder
  15. 1 /4 tspGaram masala
  16. 1 tbspWater

Cooking Instructions

    Wash peel and chop carrots. Peel and wash pead. Grate tomato and ginger. Chop onion and green chilli. Wash and Chop coriander leaves.

    Heat oil in a wok. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add asafoetida. Saute for 30 seconds. Add chopped Onion and green chilli and saute till onion gets translucent. Add tomato and ginger paste and saute till oil leaves the sides.

    Now add salt, red chilli, turmeric, coriander seeds powder and mix well. Sauté masala for 30 seconds.

    Now add peas and chopped carrots and mix well. Cover the lid and cook for 10 minutes on low flame. Remoce the lid and check if it is done. Now add garam masala and mix well.

    Serve hot with chapatti or parantha garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
