Cooking Instructions

Dough: Add salt, baking powder and ghee to the flour and mix. After this add water little by little and make a stiff dough. Keep covered for 30 minutes.

Stuffing: Grind cashew nuts, almonds and pistachios coarsely. First of all, put mawa in a pan and fry it on low flame for 4 to 5 minutes while stirring. After this add all coarse dry fruits and mix and cool, after cooling add sugar powder and mix.

To make Gujiya, take a ball from the dough and roll it like a round roti and cut it into round shape from a bowl, take a round puri from it, put stuffing on half of it and cover it with a little water on the edge.

Press the edges, make designs with fingers, put in hot oil and cook on low flame. When the Gujiya comes up, fry on medium flame till it turns golden brown.

Serve hot or cold
