Leek with Orange Olive Oil

Ingredients

  1. 4-5big leeks
  2. 1 cupfreshly squeezed orange juice
  3. 10 tablespoonsolive oil
  4. 1big purple onion or white onion
  5. 2-3big carrots
  6. 2red paprika pepper
  7. 2dessert spoon salt
  8. 1 tablespoonsugar
  9. 4 tablespoonsrice
  10. Halfa lemon juice
  11. Black pepper
  12. Hot water

Cooking Instructions

    Add the olive oil to the pot and heat it.

    Add the onions and carrots cut into small cubes to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.

    Wash the leeks and cut into obliques. Add to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.

    Then add orange juice and hot water just to cover it a little.

    When it starts to boil, add the julienne cut red peppers and close the lid. Cook for 10 minutes on low heat.

    Then add the rice, salt, sugar, lemon juice and black pepper and mix.

    Cover the pot lid halfway and continue cooking on low heat.

    When all the vegetables are cooked, turn off the stove and let the dish rest.

    You can eat the dish hot or cold and add extra lemon juice while serving.

Orange instead of Lemon . Lemon juice is what is usually mixed with Olive Oil too dress a mix of Lettuce leaves - strands of Leeks instead of Lettuce
