  1. 5yams
  2. 3carrots
  3. salt
  4. 1/4 cupfreshly squeezed orange juice (optional)

    Peel yams and carrots

    Put in a pot and cover with water (notice the kitchen covered for pesach :))

    Bring water to a boil and reduce to simmer. Cook until soft, check with a fork. (Thats our pesach oven)

    Transfer to a bowl to mash (dont use a blender bec you do want some texture for the tzimmes, dont want it to be soup)

    Add some liquid to help mash, i added in freshly squeezed orange juice

    And wala!! Its tzimmes!! Yum!!

I must admit how amazed I am with this unique recipe!
It's great! Very flavorful! I just hope you don't mind me asking, the name really got me thinking. It just sounds way too familiar, I would like to know what is .Thank you so much for the recipe.
