Ingredients

  1. 1 tspbutter
  2. 1 tspolive oil
  3. 1 lbground beef
  4. 1/3green bell pepper minced
  5. 1/2yellow onion minced
  6. Garlic minced (1 tbsp)
  7. 1 tbsptomato paste
  8. 2/3 cupketchup
  9. 1/3 cupwater
  10. 1 tbspbrown sugar
  11. 1 tspyellow mustard
  12. 3/4 tspchili powder
  13. 1/2 tspWorcestershire sauce
  14. 1/2 tspsalt
  15. 1/4 tspred pepper flakes
  16. 1/4 tsppepper
  17. Dashhot sauce (I left this out)

Cooking Instructions

    Heat butter and oil in a skillet over med/high heat. Add beef and brown. When done set aside in a bowl.
    Then in same skillet cook onion and bell pepper for 2-3 minutes.

    Add beef back in and then add tomato paste, stir well.

    Add ketchup, water, brown sugar, mustard, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, red pepper flakes and pepper. Stir well.

    Cook mixture over med/low heat for 10-15 minutes or until it’s thickened to your liking. Remove from heat and serve on toasted buns.
