Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsAP flour
  2. 1/4 cupwhite sugar
  3. 4 tspbaking powder
  4. 1/4 tspbaking soda
  5. 1/2 tspionized salt
  6. 1 3/4 cupmilk (whole milk works best but any will do)
  7. 1/4 cupunsalted butter
  8. 2 tspvanilla extract
  9. 1egg
  10. Extra butter for frying

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Melt butter & take out egg and place in counter, set aside. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large-sized bowl. Make a well in the center.
Add the milk, vanilla & egg to the slightly cooled melted butter, use a wire whisk to mix. Pour half the wet better into your well.

  2. 2

Fold into dry ingredients and then add the rest of wet batter to combine. If you see any clumps, use a wire whisk to get them out.

  3. 3

Let batter rest while you heat a pan or griddle to medium heat. Place some butter in the pan. When it’s ready take a 1/3 or 1/4 cup and fill with batter in pan. Once pancakes start bubbling, it is time to flip. Cook a few more minutes until done, repeat until all pancakes are made, I added new butter each batch.

I used coconut milk and made waffles instead. They turned out great! Thank you!
