4 Pancakes
  1. 1/2grated American corn
  2. 1/4 cupgrated carrot
  3. 1/4 cupcapsicum, finely chopped
  4. 2 tbsponions, finely chopped
  5. 2 tbspchopped coriander
  6. 1 tspgreen chillies, finely chopped
  7. 1/2 tspginger, grated
  8. 1/2 tspgarlic, grated
  9. 1/4 tspcarom seeds
  10. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  11. 1/2 tspcoriander - cumin powder
  12. 1/4 tspasafoetida
  13. 1/2 tspsesame seeds
  14. 1/2 cupbesan
  15. 2 tbsprice flour
  16. 2 tbspsooji
  17. 2-3 tbspcurds (slightly sour)
  18. 1/2water
  19. Salt to taste
  20. 1/2 tspeno fruit salt + 1 tsp water
  21. Tomato ketchup to serve
  22. 1 glassPunjabi Sweet Lassi --- an accompaniment

    Take a bowl. Add grated corn, grated carrots, chopped capsicum, chopped coriander & chopped green chillies. Add chopped onions, grated ginger & garlic.

    Add the 3 flours : besan, rice & sooji. Add curds, turmeric powder, coriander - cumin powder, asafoetida,sesame seeds.

    Mix & add water to set the consistency. Rest the batter for 10 - 15 minutes

    Just before making corn chilla, add eno fruit salt & 1 tsp water on it, to activate it.

    Again mix the batter gently.Heat a non - stick pan & grease it with oil. Spread 11/2 ladleful batter on it in a circular motion to make a thick chilla. Apply a little oil on the sides, so as to cook very well. Flip the side & cook both the sides till golden. Take the chilla in a plate.

    Serve 3 Flour corn chilla with tomato ketchup & a glass of Punjabi Sweet Lassi either for breakfast or quick dinner.
