Ingredients

  1. brownie cake
  2. 1 boxbrownie mix (about 18.4 oz.)
  3. 3/4 cuphigh quality rootbeer flavored carbonated soda pop
  4. 1 1/2 tbspvegetable oil
  5. 1egg
  6. 1/4 cupmilk
  7. frosting
  8. 1/2 cupbutter or margarine ( melted)
  9. 1/4 cuprootbeer flavored carbonated soda pop
  10. 1/4 cupbaking unsweetened cocoa (sifted)
  11. 3 cuppowdered sugar (sifted)
  12. topping
  13. 1/2 cupor more or less depending on how much you like of either sprinkles, chopped walnuts or chopped pecans or chopped peanuts

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    for the brownie cake:

  2. 2

    preheat oven to 350°F

  3. 3

combine all ingredients and mix well.

  4. 4

pour mix into a greased 8x9 pan.

  5. 5

bake 24-28 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

  6. 6

    let cool.

  7. 7

    meanwhile for the frosting:

  8. 8

combine butter, cocoa and rootbeer. mix well.

  9. 9

add powdered sugar a cup at a time until u have no sugar left. mixing well.

  10. 10

when brownie cake is cooled frost with frosting.

  11. 11

add topping of choice.. I chose sprinkles this time.

  12. 12

    serve and enjoy!

  13. 13

hint: if u want a bit more rootbeer flavor add a few drops of rootbeer extract to the cake and the frosting.

  14. 14

hint: the high end rootbeer is better.. gives it a much better flavor than a mild generic rootbeer..

  15. 15

(this makes enough frosting to frost two brownie cakes.. I used it all on one cake cuz we like a lot of frosting. but frosting is very sweet so u may only want to use half the frosting)
