My mother sent me a recipe floating around facebook for 7up biscuits. I tried but wasn't fond of it. It had a good basis so I remade the whole recipe and here is my version.

Ingredients

  1. biscuits
  2. 2 1/4 cupflour
  3. 2 1/4 tspbaking powder
  4. 1 1/2 tspmelted crisco shortening
  5. 1 cupsour cream or 1 cup plain greek yogurt
  6. 1 cupclub soda, you may also use ginger ale
  7. 1/3 cupmelted butter
  8. 1/2 tspeach of freshly grated ginger and garlic
  9. 1 1/2 tspsalt
  10. 1/2 tspeach of powdered ginger and garlic.

Cooking Instructions

    In a 7" by 11" baking dish, add the 1/3 cup of melted butter. Swirl around to coat entire pan.

    Mix in large mixing bowl all other ingredients until well incorporated.

    On lightly floured surface, roll or pat dough out to 1/2" thickness and cut into 3" rounds with biscuit cutter or large glass.

    Place biscuits over melted butter in baking dish and cook in a preheated oven of 425°F for 20-25 minutes.

    Cool for 5 minutes and move biscuits to serving platter. Enjoy nice and warm from oven.
