The best thing about going to red lobster is the free cheesy biscuits so I ventured to make my own. This recipe satisfied my cheesy biscuit desires. Cheddar cheese is not a set ingredient, I have experimented with a few different cheeses all with success!

Ingredients

  1. 2 cupall-purpose flour
  2. 3/4 cupbutter
  3. 1 tbspbaking powder
  4. 1 tspsalt
  5. 3/4 cupmilk
  6. 1/2 cupcheddar cheese

Cooking Instructions

    Put flour in a bowl, cut in butter, work with fingers to separate butter into pea sized bits.

    Add remaining ingredients and stir until just combined.

    Turn onto lightly floured surface, press out and fold dough onto itself a few times. Handle dough as little as possible for fluffy, crumbly biscuits.

    Press dough into a rectangle about an inch thick, then using a knife cut into 12 squares.

    Bake on greased pan for 10 minutes at 400°F.
