i come from an italian family and learned most of my Italian dishes from my father and grandma...except this one! my polish ex mother in law taught me how to make these, and the whole family agreed they are the best! :-P

Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 1 1/2 lbground "meatloaf" mix of beef, pork, and veal
  2. 1 cupitalian bread crumbs
  3. 3/4to 1 and 1/2 cup of milk
  4. 1 cupgrated parmesan cheese
  5. 1*the following spice measurements are approximate because i dont really measure anymore, and can be adjusted to taste
  6. 1 tspgarlic salt
  7. 1/2 tspgarlic powder
  8. 1 tsporegano
  9. 1 tspbasil
  10. 1 tspitalian spice
  11. 1/2 tspblack pepper

Cooking Instructions

    preheat oven to 350 and spray cookie sheet with cooking spray

  2. 2

    add all ingredients to large bowl and mix well with washed hands to incorporate. start with 3/4 cup of milk and if it feels dry or sticky, add a little more at a time until they are the proper consistency

    roll meatballs in your hands gently. i make mine about walnut size and end up with about 35.

    place on cookie sheet with about a 1/2 inch space between each

  5. 5

    cook for about 20 minutes, until lite golden brown. they are done when you can pick one up with a tong and it doesnt fall apart

    i always make a big pot of sauce the same day i make the meatballs, and just plop them in when they are done and let them add to the flavor of the sauce

im an italian mom from nj with 3 very fussy eaters...3 kids (ages 16, 20 & 24) :D very hard to find dishes they all agree on, and now my oldest became a vegetarian so even harder! lol. but love this app and all the great people! i love cooking for and spending time with my family. all things beauty, true crime books and shows,and I'm very interested in homeopathic and natural cures, and living a positive and grateful life... and im a diehard NY Ranger fan.oh, and i LOVE bacon! so thats me :-)
