My Favorite Fried Rice

This is my all time favorite way to make fried rice. It's super easy, and is a great side dish or full meal if you feel like adding diced chicken, thinly sliced beef, tofu or shrimp.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cupprepared white rice. I used medium grain
  2. 1/4 cuponion, finely minced
  3. 1carrot, finely minced
  4. 1 clovegarlic, finely minced
  5. 1egg
  6. 2 tbspsoy sauce (or more to taste)
  7. Green onions for garnish
  8. 1 tspgarlic salt
  9. 1 tbspoil

    In a skillet on high heat add oil.

    Then add onion, garlic and carrot. Stir frequently for about 2 mins, careful not to burn garlic.

    Add rice. NOTE: I prefer to use rice that was cooked a few hours before hand, it doesn't stick together that way. Stir rice into the veggies.

    After about 5 min, make a well in the center of your rice, add the egg and lightly scramble. Once it's almost cooked mix it into the rice.

    Add garlic powder and soy sauce. Cook about 3-5 more min.

    Garnish with green onion.
