Raisin Seed Granola Bars

These are my favorite granola bars! You can substitute the raisins and seeds for any dried fruits or nuts that you wish. I also have a Chocolate Chip Almond Granola Bar on my page! :)
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 325.
- 2
Combine butter and honey in a medium mixing bowl.
- 3
Stir remaining ingredients in to the butter mixture until well combined.
- 4
Pour into a greased 8" pan and press in to pan firmly.
- 5
Bake for 20 minutes (edges will start to brown).
- 6
Remove from oven and press firmly in to pan again (this helps them to not crumble when removing from pan).
- 7
Cool for 10 minutes then cut into 8 bars. Leave in pan until completely cooled.
- 8
Removed carefully with spatula to prevent crumbling.
- 9
I wrap mine individually and store in the refrigerator (this helps them to firm up more and stay fresh longer).

Homemade Granola Bars Homemade Granola Bars
Granola bars are very popular these days because they are healthy, delicious, and affordable. They're even better if you make them fresh with your own carefully chosen ingredients!A few more tipsYou can add any dried fruits you like (apricots, raisins, strawberries, etc.) as well as nuts (hazelnuts, walnuts, etc.). When you take it out of the oven, the mixture will be soft, but it will harden as it cools. It keeps well at room temperature for several days. S'mores Granola Bars S'mores Granola Bars
Quaker has a S'mores flavored granola bar, which happens to be my daughters favorite flavor. I've been making granola bars lately for me to snack on, so I decided to see if I could recreate her favorite flavor. I might be biased, but I think these are way better and with a way shorter list of ingredients than the boxed variety. Christina -

My Favorite Granola Bars My Favorite Granola Bars
My daughter loves granola bars, so we usually have them in the house, but I have yet to find a flavor that I really love. So I decided to try my own mix of ingredients. That's the great thing about homemade granola bars. As long as you stick to the base recipe for the binder (the butter, honey and brown sugar) and the same amounts of ingredients, you can add pretty much whatever ingredients sound good to you at the time. These bars are just the right mix of salty and sweet and keep you filled up between meals. Or they make a good breakfast, served with some fresh fruit. Christina -
