I had some tortellini leftover from another recipe and my son had been asking for chili....So I came up with this :-) I hope that your family enjoys this as much as mine did! Would love to see your pics and comments on how yours turns out!

Ingredients

  1. 1 lbground hamburger or turkey meat
  2. 3 tbspcooking oil
  3. 6 cupwater
  4. 4 tsppowdered chicken bullion
  5. 3 cupfrozen tortellini
  6. 1*Potato Flakes 1/2 cup
  7. fresh veggies
  8. 1bell pepper diced
  9. 1onion, chopped
  10. 1potato diced
  11. 1yellow zuchini squash diced
  12. spices
  13. 3 tspground cumin
  14. 3 tbspminced garlic from jar in water
  15. 1/2 tspchili powder
  16. 1/2 tspred pepper flakes
  17. 1 tbspdried parsley
  18. 2 tbspdried chives
  19. 2 tbspfresh chopped cilantro
  20. 1/2 tspground oregano
  21. 1 tspsweet paprika
  22. canned goods
  23. 1 candiced tomato's
  24. 1 canblack beans drained
  25. 2 can8oz tomato sauce

Cooking Instructions

    In large pot heat oil. Then add all of the fresh veggies garlic cilantro and cumin saute for about 5 minutes then add meat and cook until meat is browned. Do not drain!

    Add water, remaining spices, bullion and canned goods stir well. Bring to hard boil then add tortellini bring back to boil. After 15 minutes reduce heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes or until tortellini reaches your desired texture.

    If you desire a thinker consistency of the sauce stir in the 1/2 cup of dried potato flakes at the end. Cook for 5 more minutes
