Cooking Instructions

45 mins
  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 375? F

  2. 2

In a large mixing bowl add all purpose flour, brown sugar, salt, 2 tablespoons sugar. Mix well.

  3. 3

Add butter, use a pastry knife or fingers and work butter into flour mixture until crumbly

  4. 4

Mix in oats. Work together with fingers until incorporated and in bigger "crumbs". Place in freezer to chill while you prepare the apples.

  5. 5

Peel, core and cut apples. Mix apples together with the other 1/2 cup of white sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon in a large bowl. Place in a 8x8 baking dish or another shallow 2 quart dish. Pile topping mixture on top. Place on a regular cookie sheet (for better stability) and bake for 55-65 minutes or until apples are cooked through and topping is nice golden brown and bubbly.

  6. 6

I doubled the topping mixture, cause I like a lot!! :-)
