Apple Crumble Pie is a delicious and easy pie that everyone requests time and again.

A tender flaky crust filled with sweet juicy cinnamon kissed apples all topped of with a delicious crumb topping. This is the perfect apple pie to serve after any meal!

Ingredients

6 servings
  1. Topping
  2. 1/2 cupflour
  3. 1/4 cupbrown sugar packed
  4. 1/4 cupwhite sugar
  5. 1/2 teaspoonground cinnamon
  6. 1/4 cupbutter chilled and cubed (I use frozen then grate it on a cheese grater)
  7. Filling
  8. 4Gala apples
  9. 2 1/2 tbspwhite sugar
  10. 1 1/2 tablespoonsall-purpose flour
  11. 1/2 tablespoonlemon juice
  12. 1/2 teaspoonground cinnamon
  13. little dash ground nutmeg

Cooking Instructions

    This makes 6 larger shelled pies!

    Preheat oven to 450°F.

    Peel, core, and slice apples into thin slices (approximately ⅛ inch). Toss apple slices with sugar, flour, lemon juice,cinnamon, & nutmeg.
    Layer apple slices in mini pie shells (it will be really full). Top apple slices with topping and pat it down over the apples. Place mini tins on a cookie sheet (they tend to drip over if really full, this will save your oven).

    Bake at 450°F for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 350°F and bake an additional 30 minutes. (Poke the center to make sure the apples are soft all of the way through).

    Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.

    If you are making a full sized pie then just double this recipe.
