Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsbasmati rice-washed and soaked for at least 1 hour
  2. 2 Tbspghee
  3. 1 Tbspcumin seeds
  4. 1 Tbspshredded ginger
  5. 2 cupsshelled peas
  6. 2tspcoriander powder
  7. 1 tspgaram masala
  8. 1 tspturmeric
  9. to tasteSalt
  10. Water

Cooking Instructions

    In a heavy-based pan, heat the ghee and add the cumin seeds and ginger.

    When the ginger browns a little, add the rice, peas, garam masala, salt and turmeric.
