Making The Sugar Cookie Dough
Beat your butter and sugar till creamy and airy. Add in vanilla essence and egg and beat for a few more seconds. Add in your salt and baking powder. Use a spatula or hand/stand mixer with dough attachments for this. You can use your hands too once you start adding the flour. Do so in bits till a smooth dough forms. Add some milk if the dough feels a bit hard. Good news, no need to refrigerate dough, thanks to the cold butter.
- 3
Cutting the desired shape
I had a number two template(downloaded and printed from Pintrest). Place it on a rolled out dough and trace out the figure. Do so on a floured wax/grease paper.
- 4
Make two of them (or depending on how many you need) and place on a baking sheet(with the wax paper on). Put it in a preheated oven at 200 degrees C for about 5-8 minutes. Do not over-bake it or it will become too hard. Remove it and let it cool before decorating it
- 5
Decorating your cake
Whip your cream till stiff peaks form. Prepare your buttercream if you prefer that.
Get your cookie ready. Pour your buttercream/whipping cream into a piping bag. You can use the nozzle with a circle tip or cut the tip of your reusable piping bag(It gives a dollop-kind of presentation).
Start by decorating one of the cookie layers. Gently place the second layer and do the same.
- 6
Disclaimer: I used the star-tip for the second layer of cookie.
You can now decorate your cake as you please. Fruits, chocolate, chocolate shavings, oreos, and flowers are some of the options. Get creative

Easy Almond Tart Cake Easy Almond Tart Cake
This is a cake my mother often made. As a student, I'd bring this to school, and now as an adult, I bring it to work and everyone loves it!If you mix too much after adding the almond slices, they will break into small pieces, so lightly fold in.Adjust the baking time and temperature to your oven. Keep an eye on it as it bakes. On the second baking, bake until the top is browned and the cake becomes fragrant (adjust to your taste). Recipe by Marrietty cookpad.japan -
Yogurt Cake or Tart Yogurt Cake or Tart
The other day I made this yogurt cake or tart, and honestly, it only lasted a few hours, haha! It was delicious! The best part is that it's made in no time since the ingredients are very basic and we usually have them at home, making it a very economical recipe, as well as easy and quick to prepare. The final result is a mix between flan and pudding because it's more compact than a flan. You can decorate it with whatever you like; I used blueberry jam, but you can use any flavor you want, or even fresh fruit, berries, whipped cream, dulce de leche... It's even tasty on its own! Easy! Kabocha Squash Tart Cake Shop Style Easy! Kabocha Squash Tart Cake Shop Style
A long time ago, the wife of a farmer who my mother used to work for gave us this tart! It was so good that we asked for the recipe! It's so tasty that it makes a great present! You really can't fail with this. My friends loved this when I gave it to them as presents.Divide the tart dough into two, roll out one portion until it's wide and thin, and press it into the cake pan!If you mash the kabocha well, it will be smooth. If you mash it roughly, it will be fluffy.I started off baking it at 340°F/170℃, then when it started to change colour, I reduced it to 320°F/160°C. Recipe by momoko0211 cookpad.japan -
No Need to Bake twice! Kabocha Tart Cake No Need to Bake twice! Kabocha Tart Cake
I have a recipe like this from about 15 years ago that you make in a pot, so I altered a bit so that it can be made in an oven. You can skip the tart crust. In that case, wrap the pan with foil so that the kabocha squash filling doesn't leak outIf the tart crust starts to get sticky while you are pressing it with your hands, don't use your finger tips, but press with your thumb pad. Peach Almond Tart-Style Cake Peach Almond Tart-Style Cake
I often bake cakes with canned fruits. This recipe is one of them, and my family and friends love this, so I posted the recipe.Adjust the baking time to your oven. You can bake a delicious cake with canned yellow peaches, pears, or pineapples. Lemon juice removes the canned food smell, and the cake will be much tastier. You don't need to use all of the thickened syrup for this recipe. It's just as delicious if you put it in yogurt or spread on bread. Recipe by Renbasu cookpad.japan -
Exquisite Tart Tatin-style Apple Cake Exquisite Tart Tatin-style Apple Cake
I based this recipe on Makiko Fujino's "Tart Tartin Style Cake" and adjusted the ingredients to my preference and also reduced the amount of tools used to save on clean-up time.I use a Teflon-coated deep pot with removable handles that can be used in the oven. This saves on clean-up time and is simple and easy for cooking! But it's fine to use a pot with handles that can be put in the oven. If you don't have one, make the caramel in a small sauce pan, then pour it into a round cake pan. The cake is delicious fresh from the oven, but if you let it sit for 1 to 2 days, the caramelized apples will blend into the cake and it will become nice and moist. Recipe by *porin* cookpad.japan -

Black Tea Apple Cake (Tarte Tatin Style) Black Tea Apple Cake (Tarte Tatin Style)
I layered apples on the bottom of the pan in a tarte tatin style, and added black tea leaves to make a fragrant black tea apple cake; I baked it in a rice cooker. A recipe for apple cake gave me the idea to make this. The sponge cake portion of the cake should rise as shown in the photo. If you cover it with a cloth or plastic wrap while still hot, and gently press down on it, you can control the degree of rising. You can easily make this with 1 apple, but using 2 apples gives it a richer flavor. Strawberry Tart Strawberry Tart
An older woman at my company really likes this tart. It is becoming a tradition for me to make this cake every year on her birthday. I think this is the cake that I have made the most. The tart will be shiny when you brush glaze on the surface of the fruits, so I recommend doing that. When using the custard cream make sure to strain it once and then whisk the cream with whisk until it is smooth. Put the cream in a pastry bag and squeeze it out. If the dough is too soft when spreading it into the tart mold, chill it in the refrigerator. It will be easier to handle. Recipe by TIARARA cookpad.japan -
Strawberry Cake Strawberry Cake
I love strawberry cake and this is my favorite recipe. The icing is very sweet so this is why I bake it in a 13 by 9 inch pan so there is only icing on the top and it doesn't overwhelm the cake. I hope you enjoy this recipe. Ashley
