Ingredients

  1. For the dough:
  2. 1 1/2 CupMaida
  3. 1 TeaspoonAjwain
  4. 2 TablespoonOil
  5. 1 TeaspoonSalt
  6. 1 Cup Water (to make a semi stiff dough
  7. For the filling:
  8. 2 TablespoonOil
  9. 1Green chilli, chop
  10. Chopped coriander leaves
  11. 1 TeaspoonChaat masala
  12. 1 TeaspoonKashmiri red chilli powder
  13. 1/4 TeaspoonGaram masala
  14. 1/2 TeaspoonBlack salt
  15. 4 TablespoonBesan
  16. 2 LargeBoiled and mashed potatoes
  17. 1/2 TeaspoonSalt
  18. Oil For deep frying

Cooking Instructions

    Take flour salt and oil in a bowl and mix well.Now add sesame or ajwain seeds and water as required and knead a firm dough.Keep under wet towel for 10 minutes.

    Heat 1 tbsp oil in pan add turmeric powder, gram flour,chilli powder,garam masala.

    Saute till raw smell goes away.Add mashed potatoes to this and required salt and mix well.Cook for 2 minutes in low flame and switch off.

    Heat oil in deep pan.

    Roll each ball to egg shape and make 3 to 4 semi cuts in middle

    Now take a ball of filling roll in shape and keep on rolled dough ball and seal it in and twist the ends like toffee

    Start frying flipping sides till golden brown.
