Ingredients

  1. 5-6Rava idlis
  2. 1/2 cupBoiled and mashed potato
  3. 1/4 tspGaram masala
  4. 1/2 tspRed chilli powder
  5. 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  6. to tastesalt
  7. 1/4 tspChaat masala
  8. 2 tspKasuri methi
  9. 1/4 cupBread crumbs (optional)
  10. Someoil for Deep frying

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl take idlis and mashed them nicely.

  2. 2

    Now add mashed potatoes,red chilli,coriander,chaat masala,garam masala powder to the mashed idlis.

  3. 3

    Add salt,black pepper and kasuri methi.

  4. 4

    Now mix everything well and knead into a soft dough

  5. 5

    If you mixture is sticky add bread crumbs 1 tbsp at a time to form a non-sticky dough.

  6. 6

    Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan over medium heat.

  7. 7

    Grase your palm with little oil and make small balls from the prepared dough.

  8. 8

    Gently slide the balls into the hot oil, a few at a time, and deep fry till golden brown and crisp.

  9. 9

    Drain on absorbent paper.

  10. 10

    Serve with tomato ketchup.
