Delicious appetizer/snacks. My version copycat of crispy mushroom from my favorite burger restaurant in my town.

Ingredients

  1. 400 gr (1 lb)fresh button mushrooms
  2. Bread crumb / panko as needed (forget to weigh it, about 2 cup)
  3. oil for deep frying
  4. Wet coating ingredients:
  5. 75 grall purpose flour
  6. 30 grcornstarch
  7. 1/2 tspsalt
  8. 1/4 tspgarlic powder
  9. 1/4 tspbaking powder
  10. to tasteground black pepper
  11. 180 mlwater

Cooking Instructions

    Use a clean dish towel to wipe the mushrooms clean. Halved or quartered the mushroom if they are big.

    Mix well all the ingredients for wet coating.

    Heat about 2 inches of oil in a large pot (about 350°F).

    Dip each mushroom in the batter, allowing excess to drip off.

  5. 5

    Coat each mushroom in bread crumbs.

  6. 6

    Add mushrooms to the hot oil. Allow the mushrooms to cook until they are golden brown and crispy.

    Transfer mushrooms from the oil to a paper towel lined plate. Allow the mushrooms to cool for a few minutes before serving with ranch dressing.
