Ingredients

  1. 4 cupsall purpose flour
  2. 2 tbsoil
  3. 1/2 tspsalt
  4. 1 tbssugar
  5. 1 cuplukewarm water or milk
  6. 200 gpastry margarine or butter
  7. 1 tspactive dry yeast
  8. 5free range eggs(optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Activate the yeast by mixing yeast,sugar and oil in a mixing bowl then pour the lukewarm water or milk over it and stir then let sit till it froths/foams.

    Add in eggs(beaten),salt then add flour bit by bit to a stiff dough.

    Knead the dough for 5-10mins or until pliable.

    Cover with a clean kitchen cloth and place in a warm area to help rise fast.

    Beat down the dough...then knead and make a ball.

    On a floured/dusted surface, roll out the dough into a long rectangle and rub pastry margarine or butter on it.

    Fold the dough,in 3,or alternatively bring an end to a third of the rectangle then the other end comes over the other end.

    Wrap the dough with a cling wrap and freeze it overnight.

    This puff pastry dough can make pies,croissants mwitu or whatever you fancy to fold in.
