I wanted to eat Asian sweet potato so I bought one, but I couldn't decide what to do with it. I thought about it for 3 days and finally decided to make sweet potato cakes.- This may need a little more milk. So 20 ml is fine!- The potato paste shouldn't be too runny. I steamed the potato with a pressure cooker this time. It's sweet and tasty steamed.- Adding cinnamon or vanilla extract gives depth to the flavor. Recipe by umai cookpad.japan -

I wanted to come up with a simple recipe that would work for any meal during the day, that could be also a perfect bento item that was easy to eat and looked charming. In Step 2, be sure to make deep cuts in the shrimp and open them up. Also in Step 6, the melted cheese serves as a "glue" to bind the shrimp and the potato together.Adjust the length of microwave cooking time to suit your oven. These German potato pancakes offer a delightful alternative to traditional pancakes and serve as a satisfying dinner option. Personally, I enjoy spreading mine with cranberry sauce or dipping them in herbed sour cream for a delectable combination of flavors. These pancakes provide a delicious twist to your mealtime routine, making them a delightful choice for those seeking something different and delicious. LizzieVO -
Potato cakes with ginger rice Potato cakes with ginger rice
The headline for this recipe should perhaps be longer, but that would involve some French, so I include a comment here instead. The potato cakes are made with a Pâte à choux (light pastry dough). My inspiration for the potato cakes came from Ruhlman's book called Ratio. However, I did veganize his method a bit by replacing half of the eggs with a simple home made chia seed egg replacement mixture (easily found on the internet). The following recipe will make about 9 pretty thick potato cakes (like in the picture above), or about 14 thin ones. Better to make them thinner if you like them a bit more crispy-like (I will do that the next time I make this). After forming, refrigerate the extra potato cakes and cook them the next day or so.I hope you will find the meal as tasty as me.PS: In the picture above I forgot to grind the chia seeds for the potato cakes, and they look a bit like whole peppercorns. It was good nevertheless. jorgen.hovde -

Baked Sweet Potato Cakes Baked Sweet Potato Cakes
In Japan, when my mother-in-law was still alive, she often steamed sweet potatoes, mashed them finely, then mixed them with condensed milk, butter, brushed with egg, and sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds. She would bake the cakes in the oven. The aroma of baked sweet potatoes mixed with milk, butter, and sesame filled the small kitchen... The first New Year without her 😥 Missing her, I made baked sweet potato cakes again... Join me in the kitchen to make baked sweet potato cakes. It's not just traditional sweets for the New Year, baked sweet potato cakes enjoyed with a hot cup of tea are also delightful 😍 DiepngocNguyenTranslated from Cookpad Vietnam -

I wanted to make something quick that I already had the ingredients for whilst my son was napping one day and thought of sweet potato cakes. Whilst this cake is nice and smooth, the best thing about it is it's delicious natural sweet potato taste.-Make sure to mix in the butter and sugar whilst the potato is still hot.-Feel free to adjust the sweetness of this dish.-If you don't have a pastry brush, you can drizzle the egg yolks over and then use the back of the spoon to spread it instead.
