Marinate the fish in 1 tbsp oil, salt, turmeric, chilli powder.

Shallow fry the fish on tawa by using small amounts of oil.

In a kadhai, heat oil and add panch phoran, curry leaves, hing.

Add onion and garlic chilli paste stir for few minutes and add all other spices including tamarind paste, tomato, jaggery,salt.

Add water and let it simmer, add the fried fish.
