Banana blossom with prawn(mocha chingri)

Ingredients

  1. 1small banana blossom
  2. 1potato
  3. 100 gramprawns
  4. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  5. 1.5 tbspcoriander cumin powder
  6. 1 tspgreen chilli paste
  7. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  8. 1/4 tspgaram masala powder
  9. 1/2 cupgrated coconut
  10. 2 tbspsmall pieces of coconut
  11. 1 tspcumin seeds
  12. 1bay leaf
  13. 1dry red chilli
  14. 2cloves
  15. 1-2green cardamom
  16. 1small piece of cinnamon
  17. as per tastesalt and sugar
  18. As neededoil

Cooking Instructions

    Wash the prawns and marinate with salt and turmeric powder,fry well and keep aside.

    Mean while chop the banana blossom and boil adding Salt and sugar

  3. 3

    Now heat oil and add cumin seeds, bay leaf and whole garam masala,fry the potato and pieces of coconut well add salt and turmeric powder

    Add all the powder masalas except garam masala powder and mix well,add the boiled banana blossom and saute well

  5. 5

    Add the prawns and keep mixing until it is soft. Finally add sugar, garam masala powder and ghee, remove and serve it with steamed rice.
