Ingredients

  1. 500 gmbaasa/ aar/ prawns / rohu
  2. 1raw mango diced
  3. 200 mlcoconut milk
  4. 1onion
  5. 1tomato
  6. 7-8garlic cloves
  7. 2 inchginger
  8. 1/2 tspmethi daana(fenugreek seeds)
  9. 1 tablespoonpaprika
  10. 1 teaspoonTurmeric Powder
  11. 1 tablespoonDhaniya (Coriander)powder
  12. to tasteSalt
  13. 3-4green chillies

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and marinate the fish in turmeric and salt.

    Fry the fish in some oil and keep aside

  3. 3

    Make a paste of the onion, ginger, garlic, tomato and chillies

  4. 4

    Add the methi, paste and masalas (turmeric, paprika and dhaniya powder) to the pan and sauté till it releases oil.

    Add the diced raw mango, followed by the coconut milk.

  6. 6

    Let it simmer till the mangoes are half cooked. Add the fried fish thereafter.

  7. 7

    Let it simmer for 5 minutes. Add salt and a teaspoon of sugar to balance out the taste. Ready!!!
