Kachumber is a good side dish that goes well with almost any Indian dishes. Basically it is a onion-tomato-cucumber salad tossed with Indian herbs and spices. The dressing may be based on vinegar, lemon or curd. Add a fresh touch to any main dish with this crunchy veggie salad. And prepare it well ahead of time before any party or get togethers. But remember that Onions and Tomatoes tend to leave a lot of water. So use firm ones. It's perfect that way.

Ingredients

No Cook Recipe
5-6 servings
  1. 4Onions finely chopped
  2. 4Tomatoes finely chopped
  3. 4-5Cucumbers finely chopped
  4. 3-4Green Chillies finely chopped
  5. 2 tbspLemon juice
  6. 1 tspSalt or to taste
  7. 1small bunch Coriander Leaves finely chopped

Cooking Instructions

    Combine all the Veggies in a wide bowl. Add Salt and Lemon juice. Toss all that really well and you are done.

    Refrigerate until ready to serve. Garnish with freshly chopped Coriander and serve chilled.
