Ingredients

  1. 1 cupTuvar dal
  2. 1/4 cupMoong dal
  3. to tasteSalt
  4. 2 tspTurmeric powder
  5. 1 tbspRed chilli powder
  6. 2 tspCoriander powder
  7. 1/2 cupChopped tomatoes
  8. 2 tbspChopped coriander
  9. 2-3 Red chilli
  10. 1 tspchopped garlic
  11. 2 tspCumin seeds
  12. 2 tbspbutter
  13. as neededwater

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly soak both the lentils in water for about 1 hour.

    Then, wash it properly and transfer it into pressure cooker. In it add 2tsp of turmeric and salt and 2 glass of water.Cook it in a pressure cooker for about 8 mins with 2 whistle.

    Then after that, transfer the whole dal mixture into another utensils.Now in it add chopped tomatoes, chopped coriander, red chilli powder,coriander powder and salt.Again cook it in a medium high flame for about 7 mins so that tomatoes and all the masala get properly mixed with the dal.

    At last, for tempting : In a pan add 2 tsp of oil and 2 tbsp of butter.Then add cumin seeds wait until it crackle now add chopped garlic, red chillies, red chilli powder, and chopped coriander leaves.

    Now add this tarka into dal.

    Mouthwatering,Dhaba style tuvar dal tadka is ready to serve hot with plain rice.
