Ingredients

  1. 250 gramNandu
  2. 1 cupCoconut Paste
  3. 3 tbspOil
  4. to tasteSalt
  5. For masala paste
  6. 1Onion (Roughly Chopped)
  7. 1Tomato Big (Roughly Chopped)
  8. 2Green chillies
  9. 1 inchGinger
  10. 3Garlic cloves
  11. 2 tbspCoriander Powder
  12. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  13. 1 tspCumin seeds
  14. 1 tspFennel seeds
  15. 2 tbspPepper corns
  16. To Tamper
  17. 1 tspMustard seeds
  18. 3Dry red chillies
  19. 2 SpringCurry leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Clean the crab pieces with little turmeric powder and keep aside.

    Heat 2tbsp of oil in a kadai, add all the items under "Masala Paste". Saute and cook until onions and tomatoes are soft.

    Transfer the onions and tomatoes mixture to a mixer jar and grind them to a smooth paste by adding little water.

    Heat 1tbsp of oil in the same kadai, add the items under "To Tamper" and saute for a minute.

    Add in the grounded masala paste, coconut paste, salt and enough water for the curry.

    Cover the kadai and let it boil.

  7. 7

    Once it states boiling, add in the crabs. mix gently, cover and cook till oil separates.

    Finally add some or coriander leaves.
    Nandu Kozhambu (Crab Curry) is ready to serve. Enjoy with Hot Rice.
